Mrs. Mellinger is a holophonor teacher, who has taught both the Robot Devil and Fry, though after his flawed performance of the Grumpy Snail, she angrily admitted to Bender that she simply cannot teach Fry (whom she referred to as "your child").
According to the Robot Devil, she used the term "stupid fingers" for people who cannot play the holophonor.
